Felt very welcome, no reason to complain.

During my recent stay at the Herbalist Rooms, I found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, well-decorated, and the bed provided a comfortable night's sleep. I also appreciated the cozy ambiance of the bar area, which was perfect for unwinding after a long day of work.

Room 6, however, was a different story. the bed felt unsupportive, almost like a jelly, making restful sleep hard to come by, even prompting discussions about mattress replacements that went unheeded. being directly above the courtyard, sounds from below crept into our stay, especially on warm nights when keeping the window open was a necessity for fresh air. In the bathroom, the cracked tiles were a real nuisance—one sharp edge even cut my toe. Lastly, the on-site Italian restaurant didn't deliver, offering overcooked pasta and dry chicken that left a dent in my wallet for the quality provided.

I had a lovely stay with a beautiful courtyard view and a well-decorated room that was both clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly, making me feel very welcome throughout my visit. It’s a shame the restaurant was closed on certain days, which limited dining options during my stay.

The courtyard view from my Double Room with Private Bathroom was absolutely enchanting, bringing a sense of calm that I cherished! The staff went above and beyond — shoutout to Keith for making my check-in seamless even after a train delay! Plus, the on-site Italian restaurant offered some of the best pasta I've ever tasted. I still dream about the lasagna!

room was too bright in the morning

The room featured cozy decor, perfect for setting an inviting atmosphere. Central location placed several bars and restaurants within a quick stroll, ideal for late-night exploration.

Multiple issues affected the stay, beginning with access problems. our room had the wrong entry code, leaving us locked out the first night. The bar had limited communication with the property, so queries went ignored, and the key expired unexpectedly. Noise levels from the busy high street were disruptive, making it tough to catch a good night's sleep, especially with windows needing to stay open due to lack of airflow. The shower struggled with scalding hot water that was unpredictable, adding to the discomfort. Lastly, the lack of basic essentials like a kettle for morning tea was a notable inconvenience.

Had a solo night here, and it was super chill. Finding the place was a breeze, and the staff were really friendly. The TV had YouTube, which was a cool surprise! The shared bathroom was clean, but sometimes it felt a bit busy. Grabbed a drink at the lounge, nice vibe!

I stayed in a double room with a private bathroom. The decor was really nice, making the space feel cozy. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the bathroom amenities and quality tea and biscuits provided. the walls were thin, and I could hear some noise from outside. it was a pleasant stay despite the noise issue.

The location was exceptional, making it easy to access local sites. The TV having YouTube was a delightful addition, allowing for relaxing downtime.

I loved how close this place was to Kings Park, which is a delightful spot for a peaceful stroll, and The Herbalist, just down the road, offered fantastic dining choices after a long day of exploring. the room was clean and comfy, perfect for a single traveler.

My recent stay was a bit of a mixed bag. I was locked out on the first night due to receiving the wrong access code. The lack of readily available contact with the property owners was frustrating. That said, I appreciated the cleanliness of the room, which helped make my stay somewhat comfortable despite the hiccups.

The staff were super friendly, and I loved how comfy the bed was during my stay. I spent some time unwinding in the beautiful garden and enjoyed the cozy seating areas outside. Just a heads up, the shower water was a bit lukewarm, but it didn’t ruin my stay at all! ☀️
